CLEMSON, S.C. — Clemson juniors Hamady Diop and Ousmane Sylla each earned a spot on the Top Drawer Soccer Midseason Top-100 Players List. Diop, a defender, slotted in at No. 25 while Sylla, a forward, was named No. 32 on the list.
Diop has been a staple of the Tigers’ backline for the last couple seasons, playing in eight games in 2022. He played 90 minutes in both Clemson’s 1-0 road victory over North Carolina, as well as the 1-1 draw at Pitt. In his career, he has played 36 games, scored five goals and added seven assists.
Sylla has been exceptional for Clemson in 2022, leading the team in goals and points with five and 16, respectively. He has recorded at least one point in eight of his 13 games played, and has twice recorded a four-point match this season. He is currently sixth in the ACC in points per game with 1.23.
Diop and Sylla will both be in action on Friday in Clemson’s regular season finale against NC State. Kickoff at Historic Riggs Field is set for 7 p.m. and the match will stream on ACCNX.
