Hisey Garners Pac-12 Goalkeeper of the Week Honors


SAN FRANCISCO – Arizona goalkeeper Hope Hisey has been named Pac-12 Goalkeeper of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday. The honor is her third of the season.

The Tucson, Ariz., native recorded a pair of shutouts over the weekend, keeping Washington and Washington State scoreless. With the shutout against Washington State she reached 20 over the course of her career, tying her for second in program history. It was her sixth time keeping an opponent from scoring this season, tying her for eighth-most shutouts in a single season in Arizona soccer history.

Hisey ranks fourth in the conference in the 2022 season in saves (56) and save percentage (.812). Over the weekend, she made seven saves to bring her career total to 284.

Hisey and the Wildcats return to action Thursday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. PT as they welcome Oregon State to Mulcahy Stadium in Tucson. Tickets are available at arizonawildcats.com/soccer. The game will also be available via live stream on ArizonaWildcats.com.
