COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State concluded the regular season on Sunday afternoon at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium with a 2-0 setback to No. 13 Northwestern.
The Buckeyes finish the regular season at 10-4-3 overall and 5-3-2 in Big Ten play, finishing in a tie for fourth. The Big Ten Tournament begins next weekend with the quarterfinal round and Ohio State will be the No. 5 seed. The Buckeyes will take on Nebraska at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday in Lincoln.
How it Happened
Northwestern scored two goals in a three-minute span in the first half and that was all the scoring. The Buckeyes regrouped at halftime and played on the front foot in the second half. They had a couple of nice scoring chances but wasn’t able to find the back of the net.

- Kayla Fischer now tied with Lara Dickenmann for second-most career shots in program history with 294.

Ohio State will be the No. 5 seed in the Big Ten Tournament and will open play at Nebraska next Sunday. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET.
