How it Happened
- On Saturday, UAlbany renewed its budding rivalry with third-year America East program NJIT. In their only two meetings since the Highlanders joined the conference, the teams had each won once. UAlbany hosted the Highlanders twice last season, winning in the regular season but falling as the higher seed in the America East quarterfinal round six weeks later.
- NJIT pieced together a good chance to score late in the 32nd minute. A lobbed serve into the box came to Highlander Asembo Augo, who drew the ball back to the PK dot to Alejandro Rabell.
