Cardinals Finish Road Trip Against No. 10 Duke

DURHAM, N.C. — The University of Louisville women’s soccer team is set to close out its final road trip of the regular season against another Top-10 opponent. The Cardinals are going up against the 10th-ranked Blue Devils on Sunday in Durham at 1 p.m. ET and the game will be streamed on the ACC Network Extra.

The Cardinals are coming off a 1-0 road win over NC State in Raleigh Thursday night. The Cardinals peppered the offensive third of the field the entire 90 minutes as they had 24 shots and 15 shots on the goal. It was the most shots in a game for the Cardinals since August 19, 2021, when they had 27 shots against Western Michigan.

Defense turned to offense for the lone goal of the match as Morgan Bentley forced a turnover in the attacking third and immediately made a run into the box. Bentley found Corinne Dente, who slotted home the pass for her first goal of the season. It was Dente’s second career goal and the first since 2019 after she had missed most of the previous two seasons due to injury.

With the win, head coach Karen Ferguson-Dayes collected her 200th career win at the helm at the Cardinals. She is the winningest coach in program history.
