OL Reign Announces Series of Citywide Activations Ahead of Semifinal Match

OL Reign Acquires $40,000 in Allocation Money

SEATTLE, WA. – OL Reign will launch a series of activations in partnership with several iconic attractions in preparation for Sunday’s semifinal match at Lumen Field, the club announced today.

Beginning Friday morning at 9:00 a.m., the Reign’s flag will proudly be raised atop the Space Needle for the first time in club history by head coach Laura Harvey and OL Reign originals, Lu Barnes, Jess Fishlock and Megan Rapinoe.


To honor OL Reign, the Seattle Center Monorail system will temporarily rename their world-famous trains to the OL Red train and OL Blue train, representing the colors of the club through the weekend.

On Friday evening at 5:00 p.m., the club will host a rally at Pike Place Market kicking off with the iconic Pike Place Fish Market Salmon Toss, performances from Reign City Riot and supporters from the Royal Guard and a photo opportunity with OL Reign’s 2022 NWSL Shield.

Seattle will continue to show support for OL Reign on Saturday night, as multiple landmarks around the city light up in OL Reign colors.

On matchday, fans are encouraged to arrive at Lumen Field when gates open at 3:00 p.m. Several fun-filled activities are planned for the playoff match and will be announced on all OL Reign social media accounts tomorrow. Prior to the full rollout, the club confirmed the national anthem will be performed by legendary Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready prior to kickoff at 4:30 p.m.
