NEED TO KNOW

•    The No. 10 Blue Devils (10-4, 5-2 ACC) will play their second straight road contest Thursday, Oct. 20 as Duke travels to Clemson, S.C., to face Clemson (7-4-3, 3-3-1) at 7 p.m., at Historic Riggs Field.  

•    Thursday’s match will be aired live on ACC Network Extra with William Qualkinbush (PXP) and Kevin Kennedy (Color) on the call.

•    Duke is concluding the regular season with three out of its last four matches on the road.

•    Over the last 21 road matches, Duke owns a 15-5-1 record.

•    Duke had won seven straight true road contests dating back to last season, before falling at Florida State last week.  The Blue Devils feature a 5-1 ledger on the road so far this year.  

•    The Blue Devils have won 10 out of their last 12 ACC regular season contests.

•    In the latest NCAA RPI, Duke is sixth with its four losses coming to No. 2 UCLA, No. 3 North Carolina, No. 5 Florida State and No. 9 Virginia. The Blue Devils’ schedule is currently ranked the third-toughest nationally.

•    In 31 matches played at Duke, Michelle Cooper has tallied at least a goal or assist in 23 of those contests.

STORYLINES/OTHER BLUE DEVIL NOTES

•    In matches following a loss, the Blue Devils have collected a 9-0-1 ledger over the last 10 contests.

•    Duke is currently tied for second in the ACC with 15 points along with Notre Dame and North Carolina.  

•    Junior Grace Watkins registered her first goal of the season in the Florida State match last week.

•    The Blue Devils feature nine different players that have scored at least one goal this season.

•    Since scoring six goals at NC State on Sept. 25, the Blue Devils have scored only four goals over the last four matches.  

•    Of Duke’s 60 corner kicks, 40 have been taken in the second half this season.
