RALEIGH – NC State men’s soccer (4-5-3) closes out the non-conference portion of its 2022 regular-season slate at home on Tuesday night as it hosts William & Mary (4-2-6). The game is set for a 7 p.m. kick off from Dail Soccer Stadium and will be aired live on ACCNX.

A WIN ON TUESDAY WOULD

• Hand William & Mary its first loss in nine matches, a streak that started on Sept. 6

SERIES HISTORY (NC State trails 6-4-1)

• Tuesday marks the 12th overall meeting between NC State and William & Mary. This will be the fifth time in the last six seasons that the squads will face each other.

• The Wolfpack last took on the Tribe at home on Oct. 19, 2021 in what was also the team’s final non-conference match of that regular season. William & Mary came away with the 1-0 win after Nathan Messer scored on the team’s first look in the 55th minute.

• Last season’s meeting marked the first win for the Tribe on the Pack’s home field. NC State is 4-1-0 all-time at home when hosting William & Mary.

LAST TIME OUT

Playing in front of the second-largest home crowd in the Kiefer era, NC State earned another point in the conference standings with a 2-2 draw against rival North Carolina on Friday evening. Conor Kelly put together a three-point night with a goal (13′) and an assist, and defender Pablo Pedregosa tallied the first score of his senior campaign (40′) to account for NC State’s second tally in the match.

Both goals were generated off free kicks. Kelly netted his directly off the set piece and then delivered a ball form the left sideline to Pedregosa for the Pack’s second score. The Pack’s lead stood for nearly 30 minutes, but UNC netted the equalizer in minute 64.

TRACKING THE PACK (4-5-3)

• Tuesday marks the Pack’s seventh and final non-conference matchup of the 2022 regular season. The team is 3-1-2 in those out-of-league contests leading up to the game.
