COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 15 Buckeyes (7-1-4, 2-1-1) are home just twice more in 2022 during regular season competition with Northwestern (2-6-4, 0-3-2) up first Sunday for a 2 p.m. match at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. The home portion of the schedule concludes against Michigan State Oct. 25. Ohio State will celebrate senior night vs. the Spartans with first touch scheduled for 6 p.m.

Admission and parking are free for all Ohio State men’s soccer contests.

    The 2022 Buckeyes now own the Ohio State record for fewest loses over the first 12 games of the season after the win (3-1) at Michigan last Tuesday.

  • The Buckeyes went undefeated in nonconference play for the first time after the win over Northern Kentucky gave Ohio State a 5-0-3 record outside the Big Ten this year. Ohio State has not lost a game outside the Big Ten in its last 11 games (8-0-3) dating to the 2021 season.
  • With the result at Cleveland State, Ohio State went undefeated against intrastate foes in 2022. The Buckeyes won at Bowling Green (1-0), defeated Wright State in Columbus (2-0) and tied No. 14 Akron (3-3) and the Vikings (0-0) on the road. The last time the Buckeyes played four Ohio in a season without a defeat was in 2015 at Akron (T, 3-3, 2ot), vs. Dayton (W, 2-0), vs. Bowling Green (W, 2-1), vs. Cleveland State (W, 1-0) and vs. Dayton (T, 1-1, 2ot, pks 4-3) in the NCAA Tournament in Columbus.
  • Ohio State played three-consecutive Top 15 opponents prior to facing the Vikings. Ohio State defeated No. 12 Butler Sept. 9 (2-0) then battled to a 3-all draw at No. 14 Akron Sept. 13 before knocking off No. 15 Indiana in Columbus (2-1).
  • Ohio State has allowed the fewest goals among Big Ten teams (11/.92 gpg) and are tied the lead in scoring margin (0.91 gpg). The Buckeyes also are second in save percentage (.738) and lead in corners (88).
  • The Buckeyes have taken more corners than the opponent in 11-of-12 games this season and are ranked No. 9 nationally in corners per game…
