CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson women’s soccer team hosts No. 24 Virginia Tech at Historic Riggs Field on Sunday, Oct. 9. The match is set to kick off at 1 p.m. and will be streamed on ACCNX.

This marks the 19th time that the Tigers and Hokies will meet, with Clemson leading the series, 8-6-4 and winning the last five matches. Most recently Clemson defeated Virginia Tech 1-0 in Clemson in 2021 with Makenna Morris registering the game-winning goal off an assist from her sister, Maliah Morris. Freshman forward Taylor Price and junior forward Tori Powell lead the Hokies with 15 and 14 points, respectively. Sophomore goalkeeper Lauren Hargrove has five shutouts and 32 saves to her name.

Most recently the Tigers picked up an important 2-1 win over the Louisville Cardinals at Lynn Stadium on Thursday night behind goals from Megan Bornkamp and Maliah Morris. Bornkamp recorded her 50th career point in the victory. Junior goalkeeper Halle Mackiewicz registered a season-high seven saves and limited many Cardinal opportunities to seal the win.
