EVANSTON, Ill. –– Northwestern Men’s Soccer plays host to No. 20 Penn State on Sunday, October 2 at Martin Stadium. The contest kicks off at 3 p.m. CT on B1G+. Admission is free for all fans.

The Wildcats (1-6-2, 0-3-0) are coming off a 4-1 loss at Indiana on Tuesday, September 27. Both sides were scoreless for the first 45 minutes and remained so until Justin Weiss opened up the scoring in the 48th minute, pressuring Indiana’s defense into a giveaway,  receiving a quick pass from Jason Gajadhar, then curling a ball into the top right corner of the net to give the ‘Cats the 1-0 lead.

The Hoosiers responded promptly, scoring three goals over the next three minutes. IU added another goal for insurance in the 77th minute to make it 4-1. That scoreline held to the final whistle.

The Nittany Lions arrive (4-3-2, 1-0-1) in Evanston after a midweek loss to in-state rival Villanova (1-0). Penn State’s trip to Evanston is its first road game outside of the east coast this season, having played road contests at Syracuse, George Mason, and Maryland.
