CLEMSON, S.C. – The No. 24 (TDS) Clemson women’s soccer team is back at home as they host NC State at Historic Riggs Field on Thursday, Sept. 29. The match is set to kick off at 8 p.m. and will be broadcasted on ACC Network.

This marks the 30th time that the Tigers and Wolfpack will meet, with Clemson leading the series, 19-6-4. Most recently Clemson defeated NC State 2-1 in Raleigh in 2021 thanks to goals from Renee Lyles and Megan Bornkamp. Senior forwards Jameese Joseph and Alexis Strickland lead the Wolfpack with 12 and seven points, respectively.

Most recently the Tigers dropped their past two ACC matches to Wake Forest and No. 7 Florida State. Previously the Tigers upset then No. 6 Notre Dame 2-0 at Historic Riggs Field, recording the highest ranked home win since beating No. 5 Virginia on Sept. 20, 2018. Harper White was pivotal in the victory as she registered a career-high two assists which resulted in ACC Defensive Player of the Week and College Soccer News National Team of the Week honors. Sami Meredith registered her first goal of the season while Emily Brough netted her third goal in her first career start. Junior keeper Halle Mackiewicz registered a season-high six saves in the win.
