CLEMSON, S.C. – The No. 14 Clemson women’s soccer team hits the road as they take on No. 7 Florida State at the Seminole Soccer Complex on Sunday, Sept. 25. The match is set to kick off at 1 p.m. and will be streamed on ACCNX.

This marks the 33rd time that the Tigers and Seminoles will meet, with Florida State leading the series, 20-8-4. Most recently Florida State defeated Clemson 4-1 at Historic Riggs Field in 2021. Senior forward Jenna Nighswonger and Senior midfielder Onyi Echegini lead the Seminoles with 16 and 12 points, respectively.

Most recently the Tigers dropped their first ACC match of the season, but previously the Tigers upset then No. 6 Notre Dame 2-0 at Historic Riggs Field, recording the highest ranked home win since beating No. 5 Virginia on Sept. 20, 2018. Harper White was pivotal in the victory as she registered a career-high two assists which resulted in ACC Defensive Player of the Week and College Soccer News National Team of the Week honors. Sami Meredith registered her first goal of the season while Emily Brough netted her third goal in her first career start. Junior keeper Halle Mackiewicz registered a season-high six saves in the win.

The previous week Clemson impressed by beating then No. 17 West Virginia at Dick Dlesk Stadium in Morgantown, W. Va., 1-0. Mackiewicz was vital in the win as she registered four saves, one of which was a game-saving stop off a penalty kick in the 66th minute.
