COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State defense played well again in another up and down battle but neither Ohio State or Michigan was able to find the back of the net in a scoreless draw on Thursday evening in Ann Arbor.

This was the second scoreless draw of the season for the Buckeyes who are now 5-2-2 overall while Michigan is now 5-3-2.

How it Happened

It was another entertaining 90 minutes despite the lack of scoring. Both teams had their chances as the ball switched ends of the field rather quickly. But neither side could find the right touch in close on limited chances.

Notes

  • The Buckeyes led 14-11 in shots and Michigan led 7-5 in corner kicks
  • Kat Robinson and Molly Pritchard combined for their third shutout of the season. They made a total of five saves on the night.
  • Kayla Fischer is now third in program history with 265 career shot attempts
  • The tie keeps the all-time series between the two rivals in a dead heat, as the teams are tied 13-13-6 all-time
