Man Utd target opens door to future transfer after ‘calls’ in summer

Man Utd-linked Pavard

Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard has admitted that he could see himself leaving the club after Man Utd were interested in him during the summer.

The right-back earned a move to Bayern Munich a few months after he helped France win the World Cup in 2018.

Pavard has played 127 times for the German side over the past few seasons as he has won three Bundesliga titles and one Champions League.

One of Man Utd’s priorities in the summer was to sign a new right-back, but they were unable to get a deal done.

“Hirving Lozano was offered to Man United and they said no.

“Many other positions, for example the right-back. Sergino Dest was offered, it is also important to mention Thomas Meunier.

“He was offered but Borussia Dortmund had no intention to proceed.”

United also reportedly made an ‘approach’ for Pavard, but this was ‘rejected’ as Bayern were keen to keep the defender.
