TAMPA, Fla. – USL League One announced on Wednesday that Richmond Kickers’ forward Emiliano Terzaghi was named the league’s August Player of the Month. Terzaghi’s player of the month-worthy performances are presented by Legends Soccer Co.

Terzaghi earns his first Player of the Month recognition of the 2022 season after earning an additional nomination in April 2022. This is the third time that the reigning back-to-back league MVP has earned a monthly award after previously earning recognition as the July Player of the Month during the 2021 season and the September Player of the Month during the 2020 season.

Talismanic performances from the Argentine saw him lead the forward line as the Kickers amassed a 3-1-1 record that set the club up for its current first-place ranking in the league table. He scored six goals in five matches that included two game-winning goals and two braces.

The reigning back-to-back golden boot winner’s six goals during the month saw him take the outright lead with 15 goals scored in the current golden boot race.
