Men’s Soccer Welcomes East Tennessee State To Dorrance Field

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Looking to get back in the win column, the University of North Carolina men’s soccer team will host East Tennessee State for a midweek matchup on Tuesday at Dorrance Field. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET with tickets available for purchase here.

After a narrow 1-0 loss to No. 10 Pitt on Friday evening in the Atlantic Coast Conference opener, the Tar Heels sit at 2-2 (0-1) on the year as they resume nonconference play. Carolina posted back-to-back victories to begin the season with a 2-1 victory over Air Force and a 1-0 win against South Florida.

Milo Garvanian leads the way for UNC with two goals and one assist for five points, including scoring the game-winner against South Florida. Key White and Hilli Goldhar have also found the back of the net once so far this year with the latter recording his first goal as a Tar Heel against FIU.

Under first year head coach David Lilly, ETSU arrives in Chapel Hill with a 3-1-1 mark on the season, most recently coming off a 0-0 draw to USC Upstate on Saturday. Kieran Richards paces the Bucs with a team-leading four goals, nine points and eight shots on goal while Cole Hunter owns a .837 save percentage between the posts.

Tuesday’s matchup will be the sixth meeting in program history between the two programs as the Tar Heels look to extend the all-time series record, which they lead at 4-1. UNC and ETSU last faced each other in the 2018 season opener with Carolina posting a 1-0 victory.

Fans are encouraged to bring their pups to the pitch for the first ever ‘Dogs at Dorrance’ night. Dogs will receive a blue UNC soccer dog bandana.
