Liverpool are reportedly ‘most interested’ in signing Ibrahim Sangare, over Manchester United and Chelsea.
Sangare, who moved to PSV ahead of the 2020-21 campaign from Ligue 1 side Toulouse, was linked with a move to United in July with ‘talks progressing quickly’.

But that rumour came to nothing, clearing a path for Chelsea, who reportedly made a bid for the defensive midfielder on deadline day, before instead landing Denis Zakaria on loan from Juventus.
And now, according to Fichajes (via Sport Witness), Liverpool are very interested.
The report claims Liverpool ‘want to strengthen themselves with a footballer who can lay the foundations in midfield’ and it’s thought Sangare would complement Arthur Melo, who could ‘exploit his most creative virtues’.
The same could presumably be said for Thiago Alcantara, and as the midfielder alongside them Sangare ‘fits in with the desired profile to perfection’.
It’s thought any interested party would have to offer around €50m to convince PSV to part with the 24-year-old.
Liverpool could move for the Ivory Coast international in January and Sangare is thought to be keen on a move, but the Reds will likely face competition for his signature, with AC Milan also circling.
Arthur arrived at Anfield on deadline day as Liverpool looked to ease their injury concerns in midfield.
The Brazilian has arrived on loan from Juventus with the Italian club confirming that Liverpool have an option to make the move permanent if they wish.
But Reds legend John Barnes insists Arthur is not a “stopgap”.
“Well, of course we know what a good player he (Arthur Melo) is,” Barnes said.
“While we know that it’s not a signing like Jude Bellingham but he’s not a stopgap because of course, he’s a very good player.
“So, if everyone’s fit and they get the players they want, you would think that Arthur may not necessarily be the first name in the team sheet.
“But if he comes in and he does well, he will be the first name on the team sheet. That’s what Jurgen Klopp does.
“But obviously, you know, this (Arthur’s transfer) is, well, a necessity but as Jurgen Klopp has said, it has to make sense. And in ‘making sense’, he means a player who can come and help us.
