September 7, 2022 – United Soccer League One (USL1)Richmond Kickers News Release

TAMPA, Fla. – USL League One announced on Wednesday that Richmond Kickers’ forward Emiliano Terzaghi is nominated for the league’s player of the month award for August.

This marks the second time Terzaghi has been a player of the month nominee during the 2022 season after earning a nomination alongside Akira Fitzgerald for the April Player of the Month.

The reigning back-to-back league MVP and back-to-back golden boot winner was the straw that stirred the drink for the Kickers’ attack in August. As the team amassed a 3-1-1 record and reassumed first place in the league table multiple times in a tight three-horse race, Terzaghi bagged six goals including two game-winning goals as well as recording two braces.

Terzaghi was named Week 19 Player of the Week on Aug. 8 while also earning a placement in the Week 22 Team of the Week on Aug. 29.

Currently, Terzaghi leads the league in goals scored with 14 and is only six shy tying of the club’s single-season goal-scoring record set by Kevin Jeffrey during the 2001 season.

The Kickers are at home tonight, Wednesday, Sept. 7 to host South Georgia Tormenta FC. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. A special in-stadium will begin when doors open at 5 p.m. and last until kickoff at 6:30 p.m. that includes $3 cans of Heineken and $8 wine.
