COUGARS VS PIONEERS

Washington State welcomes the University of Denver to Pullman, Sunday night, for the first time in program history. The Cougars and Pioneers have previously met four times, with WSU holding a 2-1-1 advantage all-time. Last season, Wazzu traveled to Denver, winning 2-0, in the program’s first trip to DU.

HOME SWEET HOME

Lower Soccer Field has become something of a fan-fortress for the Cougs. In 2021, the team drew an average of 1,238 fans per match, the highest season average in program history. This season’s home opener against Portland drew the fourth-largest crowd in program history with 2,408 fans in attendance. Wazzu is averaging 1,822 fans per game through two matches this season.
