West Ham are set to miss out on two targets to fellow Premier League sides Aston Villa and Southampton, according to reports.
The Hammers have been very busy in the transfer window this summer with Lucas Paqueta, Gianluca Scamacca, Nayef Aguerd, Maxwel Cornet, Emerson Palmieri, Thilo Kehrer, Flynn Downes and Alphonse Areola taking their signings to eight.
David Moyes has been well backed by the West Ham owners and there are rumours that there could be more incomings before the deadline this evening.

But they are set to miss out on two potential targets, according to reports, with the Evening Standard insisting that Wolves have accepted a €15m offer from Aston Villa for Leander Dendoncker.
The report added: ‘We were told that West Ham were likely to only be interested in a loan deal today and given their own expenditure this summer, it’d be no surprise if Wolves decided on an outright sale instead.’
While West Ham target Marseille defender Duje Caleta-Car is now set to join fellow Premier League side Southampton this summer with the Croatian seen as a ‘replacement’ for Jan Bednarek.
BBC Sport claims that West Ham are ‘considering whether to make a move’ for Bednarek with Craig Dawson ‘keen to take up an option to leave the Hammers’.
Paqueta to West Ham represented one of the most eye-catching transfers of the summer transfer window with the Brazil international coming off the bench to make his debut in the Hammers’ 1-1 draw against Tottenham on Wednesday.
On Paqueta, Moyes said: It’s difficult, he’d never trained with us because we didn’t have time, but we knew enough about him that he could be creative.
“It was a small cameo but I’m really looking forward to working with him.”
Moyes admitted that the overturned penalty in the draw was a pivotal moment, he added: “A draw is a good result but I’d liked to have won it. The turning point was the penalty going in our favour.
“As the game went on we grew into it. We stuck at it. I’m encouraged by what I’m seeing. We’re trying to build towards a new side.”
