Chelsea loom as one of the major players on deadline day of the transfer window with speculation that the Blues have been offered Neymar by Paris Saint-Germain.

The 30-year-old Brazil international had been linked with a move away from PSG in the off-season but has remained at Parc des Princes where he leads Ligue 1 with seven goals already this term.

However, the Mail has reported that PSG are keen to avoid falling foul of UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations and have offered Chelsea the chance to sign the forward.

The Times have also since claimed that PSG have performed an apparent U-turn on that and are now refusing to sell the Brazilian.

The deal does seem challenging on deadline day, given Chelsea’s interest in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Chelsea landed Wesley Fofana from Leicester City on Wednesday and had been keen on Everton’s Anthony Gordon too.

The Blues have been one of the top spenders in the transfer market this year and have also been linked with Milan’s Rafael Leao and Dinamo Moscow’s Arsen Zakharyan too.

Other players on Chelsea’s radar are Ajax defender Edson Alvarez along with RB Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiol according to the Daily Telegraph who claims they will spend 140 million pounds on deadline day.

The Blues are also among a list of clubs linked to Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz with Liverpool, Arsenal and Atletico Madrid also circling. The Villans are determined to hold on to him.

There appears no likely destination for Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo with Napoli distancing themselves from him.
