Offensive Player of the Week
Lily Farkas, Michigan
Sr. – M – Kansas City, Mo. – St. Teresa’s Academy – Major: International Studies
• Tallied two goals and two assists last weekend, pacing Michigan to road wins at Boston College and Boston University
• Netted the match-winning goal in Aug. 25 victory at BC, connecting in the 52nd minute
• Added a goal and two assists in the Wolverines’ 6-2 win at BU on Sunday
• Captured Academic All-Big Ten honors in 2021
• Collects her first career Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week award

Mieke Schiemann, Penn State
So. – D – Berlin, Germany – Elite School of Sport Friedrich Ludwig Jahn – Major: Psychology
• Played key role on backline for No. 10 Penn State in last week’s victories over No. 21 West Virginia and Monmouth
• Not only played all 90 minutes in Aug. 25 2-0 shutout of WVU, but also had a hand in both PSU goals, assisting on the Nittany Lions’ first score and adding an insurance goal of her own in the 72nd minute
• Credited with match-winning goal on Sunday at Monmouth, scoring in the 57th minute of the 3-1 victory
• Secures her first career Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week accolade
• Last Penn State Defensive Player of the Week: Maddie Nolf (Oct. 25, 2018)
 
Goalkeeper of the Week
Lauren Kozal, Michigan State
RS-Sr. – Ada, Mich. – Forest Hills Northern – Major: Sport, Coaching & Leadership Administration
• Anchored Michigan State to a pair of shutout wins last week, splitting clean sheets against Central Michigan and Binghamton
• Helped extend the Spartans’ season-opening shutout streak to four in a row (360 minutes), tying the longest run to start a season in school history (also 2002 and 2018)
• Three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection (2019, 2020, 2021) and two-time Big Ten Distinguished Scholar (2019, 2020)
• Secures her third career Goalkeeper of the Week honor
