SEASIDE, California – Monterey Bay F.C. welcomes LA Galaxy II to Back to School Night at Cardinale Stadium in Week 25 of the 2022 USL Championship regular season on Saturday, August 27. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. PT and can be streamed live on ESPN+.

Head-to-Head: Los Dos has the advantage over Monterey Bay F.C. with wins in both of the matches played between the side so far this season, though both matches were played in Los Angeles. With this weekend’s fixture set to take place at Cardinale Stadium, it will be the first matchup in the season series in Seaside. The previous match resulted in a 3-2 loss for the Union in Los Angeles on June 15.
Match Outlook: Monterey Bay F.C. continues its push to get above the playoff line with an important fixture against Los Dos this weekend. Sitting just five points back with three games in hand, the Crisp and Kelp should have every opportunity to sneak into the mix if they are able to continue their recent run of form. Currently sitting in 8th place, Los Dos is one of the team’s the Union will have to jump to get above the line, making tomorrow night’s match an important contest for both Western Conference sides.
Additional Notes: With LA Galaxy II bound for MLS Next Pro next season, tomorrow night’s fixture will be the third and final time that these two teams will meet in a regular season setting. The Union’s James Murphy is set to return from his one-game suspension for yellow card accumulation. Monterey Bay F.C. is 5-4-2 this season as hosts, while Los Dos is 3-8-3 on the road.
