Jurgen Klopp admits that Liverpool are “working” in the transfer market to buy players before the transfer deadline after being hit by a number of injuries.
A number of pundits and former players have urged the club to buy a new midfielder before the transfer window shuts on Thursday.
Injuries are piling up too, with a number of first-team players out, including Thiago Alcantara, Diogo Jota, Curtis Jones and Joel Matip.

And Klopp admits there is a possibility that Liverpool will sign a player before the transfer deadline with the club “working constantly” to get the right deals for the club.
The Liverpool boss told reporters on Friday: “We are working constantly on these things. Sometimes it’s expensive, sometimes not the right player, but we’re working. If something will happen or not, I don’t know.”
Liverpool have just two points from their first three Premier League matches of the season and Klopp will have to manage without a number of key players when they face Bournemouth tomorrow.
When asked if any of the injured players will be back for the match against the Cherries, Klopp replied: “Nobody for the weekend. But after that, Joel, Curtis, Thiago is not far away, Diogo is getting closer, Caoimh will be in training next week as well. Don’t think anybody will be ready for tomorrow.”
Manchester United bounced back from two losses to beat Liverpool 2-1 at Old Trafford on Monday night but Klopp thinks his side should’ve beaten their arch-rivals.
Klopp added: “We respect [the United] result. We had chances and they blocked them with all they had. We didn’t have that and that’s what we have to involve in our game. It’s done and dusted. The situation isn’t what we wanted but it’s a challenge, I like it. We have to fight back.
“We had 70% possession (v United). We respect the result and they had good chances, but we had good moments and they blocked them with all they had. But the United game is gone, done and dusted. Situation not what we wanted but it’s a challenge.
“I know how it sounds but we should have won this game if we did little things better, so now we have to find out. The team we lined up with was more than good enough to play a top game. I want to fight through this, players come back and we’ll get better results.”
