Head Coach Trevor Gorman: “You always hope to win a match when you take the lead so of course the guys are a bit disappointed.  We did some things well and put ourselves in a good position.  We just allowed BU a bit too much of the game for a stretch of the second half.  Lots of great experience gained and we look forward to playing again.”

How it Happened

  • Newcomer Domenic Baumann took UAlbany’s first shot of the season, in the fifth minute, but his effort was blocked and redirected by the Boston University defense before reaching the goal, leading to the first of five UAlbany corner kicks on the evening.
  • Pantelis Panteli scored the Great Danes’ first goal of the 2022 season, converting a penalty kick in the 23rd minute after the Terriers’ Evan Morrison committed a foul in his defensive box.
  • UAlbany took their 1-0 lead into halftime, having outshot the Terries 6-3 over the first 45 minutes.  The Great Danes pressure kept Boston University on its heels early, with UAlbany controlling 54% of possession in the first half.
