Sunderland have opened talks with Paris Saint-Germain to sign midfielder Edouard Michut.
The France Under-19 international could be one of several arrivals at Sunderland in the closing stages of the transfer window.
Michut joined PSG’s academy in 2016 and has proceeded to make eight senior appearances for the club.

Often deployed as an attacking midfielder, he is very comfortable at receiving the ball.
Michut was the subject of interest from Celtic earlier in the transfer window but he could now be heading to the Stadium of Light.

France youth international Michut has played for the PSG senior team on eight occasions
Sunderland have already brought in Daniel Ballard, Leon Dajaku, Jack Clarke, Aji Alese, Max Thompson, Callum Wilson and Alex Bass on permanent deals this summer. They have also signed Ellis Simms on loan from Everton.
Costa Rican winger Jewison Bennette, who is a free agent, is also set to make the switch to Sunderland.
Alex Neil’s team are currently in fifth place in the Championship having taken eight points from their first five games.
