Following its first win of the season, the Nebraska soccer team continues its home slate when the Huskers host Arizona and Weber State this week.

NU welcomes Arizona to Lincoln on Thursday night, starting at 7:05 p.m. (CT). On Sunday afternoon, the Huskers battle Weber State at 1:05 p.m. (CT). The game with feature Pups at the Pitch and a Dog Bandana giveaway.

Both matches will be streamed on B1G+, with a paid subscription required to watch. Fans can purchase tickets by calling 1-800-8 BIG RED or by visiting Huskers.com/tickets.

Last Time Out

Nebraska earned its first win of the season on Sunday, Aug. 21 in a 2-1 victory over former conference foe Oklahoma. Freshman Sadie Waite scored the game-winning goal for her first career Husker points.

Next Up

The Huskers will stay home and host Portland on Thursday, Sept. 1 to conclude their five-game homestand.

Kicking Off

• Juniors Eleanor Dale and Reagan Raabe and sophomore Sarah Weber received Big Ten Preseason Honors recognition, announced by the conference last Monday.

• The Big Ten also released its preseason poll on Monday, as voted on by the conference coaches. Nebraska is picked to finish 12th in the conference.

• Nebraska continues its tradition of playing a strong schedule in 2022. This year’s slate features eight NCAA Tournament qualifiers from last season, including two that advanced to the Sweet 16 and one that reached the Elite Eight. 

• This season, the Huskers will have two nationally televised games as both their home game against USC on Sept. 11 and their away game at Purdue on Sept. 29 will be on BTN. 

• During Big Ten play, five of Nebraska’s 10 conference opponents qualified for the NCAA Tournament last season.

• Three of Nebraska’s 2022 opponents earned spots on the preseason United Soccer Coaches poll, released on Aug. 2. The teams are Michigan (9), Penn State (14) and USC (15). Purdue and Wisconsin also received votes.

• The Huskers have 12 regular-season home games…
