MADISON, Wis.
– A triumvirate of Wisconsin midfielders are among the 2022 Big Ten Men’s Soccer Players to Watch List, the Conference announced on Monday.
Wisconsin’s top two returning scorers from last season are among those recognized as the regular season kicks off this Thursday for the Badgers at 8 p.m. against Utah Tech at McClimon Soccer Complex.
Admission is free for all of UW’s regular-season contests.
Senior midfielders and Spaniards Inaki Iribarren and Ignasi Marques are joined by junior midfielder Tim Bielic as those to keep an eye on.
Iribarren (EAR-ee–bahr-ehn) led the Badgers with four goals last season, sharing for the team lead with nine points. Marques posted a pair of goals and six points to share third on the team. Bielic scored a pair of goals for UW, including the game-winning marker against Butler.
