Wesley Fofana ‘obsessed’ with Chelsea and his camp claims Rodgers made Saints decision

Wesley Fofana in action for Leicester v Chelsea

Wesley Fofana is said to be “obsessed” with moving to Chelsea this summer and this obsession has led to Brendan Rodgers dropping him for this weekend’s Premier League clash with Southampton.

Fofana has been the subject of two bids from Chelsea but Leicester are said to be holding out for over £80m from Chelsea, who are trying to smoke out the Foxes by pretending they are interested in Harry Maguire.

While many reports have suggested that Fofana asked not to face Southampton, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims that the player was ready to play but Leicester decided his head had been turned.

“For me, we’ll wait to see where we are when the window ends. What I do know is that I’ve got a group of players that are so keen to learn.

“I love working with them. It’s the longest I’ve ever been at a club, which tells you how much I love working with the players here and being involved with the football club.

“My ambition is to always improve and develop and that’s what we’ll look to do again this year.

“If we don’t have these resources to improve and develop, then we have to try to find other ways to be able to do that. The…
