NEW YORK, NY – With fall soccer kicking off soon for youth soccer programs across the country, Major League Soccer and innovative youth sports coaching platform MOJO announced a multiyear agreement to provide leagues, players, parents, and coaches with fun, effective, and user-friendly soccer training sessions, guidance, and other content to make their soccer season meaningful and fun.

As the Trusted Grassroots Coaching and Education Partner of MLS, MOJO will help millions of families learn and play the beautiful game. While MLS NEXT is the country’s leading youth soccer platform and develops the most competitive and elite young players in the sport, the MLS partnership with MOJO aims to make the sport more fun and accessible at the grassroots and recreational levels, where the largest number of players and volunteer coaches are active, to build the sport for the future, on and off of the field.

In addition, as part of the continued efforts of MLS to make the game accessible for everyone, the League will provide 1,000 premium subscriptions for coaches leading soccer teams and programs in underserved communities.

Launched in February 2021 and free to download, the MOJO app and related videos and articles have been used by more than 250,000 families in all 50 states. The app’s one-tap practice planner, easy-to-use team management and communication tools and videos make coaching easy, stress-free and fun and players are less likely to drop out because of their positive overall experience.

Winner of the Webby Award in 2021 for Best Sports App, the MOJO app empowers coaches to run fun, effective soccer practices in seconds, with activities that are customizable for the age, skill level, and preferences of each team and player.

MOJO’s soccer videos were created on the field of Banc of California Stadium, home of Los Angeles FC of MLS, and produced by Mandalay Sports Media, the Emmy-award winning team behind The Last Dance docuseries.

“With the World Cup coming to North America in 2026 and the continued rise of MLS, the future of soccer in the U.S. is unlimited,” said Ben Sherwood, founder and CEO of MOJO and a former senior Disney executive who has coached both of his sons for 14 years in four sports. “MOJO and MLS believe that introducing more families to soccer at the grassroots level is vital to the entire soccer ecosystem.
