College Park, MD — The Big Ten Network released the Players to Watch list on Monday afternoon, featuring three Terps.
Malikae Dayes returns to Maryland for another season with the Terps as a Graduate Student. Dayes has played in 61 games, starting in 60 of them. Dayes logged a team high of 1652 minutes played in the 2021 season as a key component of the Maryland defensive line. She led the team to five shutouts last season.
Mikayla Dayes, sister of Malikae, also makes the list as a returning offensive threat for the Terps. Mikayla led Maryland in points just a season ago with three goals and three assists. She has appeared in 73 games for Maryland, starting 59 of them. The Grad Student recorded the third-most minutes on the team a season ago with 1545.
Juliana Lynch completes the Trio of Terps on the Players to Watch list. Lynch comes to Maryland after beginning her career at West Virginia. Lynch appeared in 51 games for the Mountaineers, notching 39 starts. She recorded three goals and one assist in her career with the Mountaineers. Lynch led the West Virginia defense to 14 shutouts during her time in the blue and gold.
Maryland will begin their regular season on Thursday, Aug. 18 at 7 p.m.
