FC Dallas Earns Second Straight Shutout in 1-0 Win over LA Galaxy

FC Dallas Homegrown Antonio Carrera Called into National Team Duty for Upcoming 2022 Concacaf Under-20 Championship

Frisco, Texas – FC Dallas (9-6-8, 35 points) returns to the win column with a 1-0 shutout victory over the LA Galaxy (9-9-3, 30 points) in front of a sellout crowd Saturday night at Toyota Stadium.

Dutch goalkeeper Maarten Paes registered his sixth shutout of the season and recorded three saves in tonight’s match. Paes also registered his first penalty kick save of 2022.

BOX SCORE BREAKDOWN

FC Dallas outshot (15-10) and recorded more shots on goal (7-3) than LA Galaxy. Although Dallas earned the 1-0 win, the Galaxy won the possession battle (62.4-37.6).

BACK TO BACK WINS

With tonight’s win, FC Dallas has won back-to-back games for the second time this season. The last time Dallas earned consecutive wins was on March 12 vs. Nashville SC in a 2-0 win and on March 19 vs. Portland Timbers in a 4-1 win. The win is the first home win since May 7 vs. Seattle Sounders.

FC Dallas is undefeated when leading at home during halftime (1-0-3 at home, 3-1-4 overall heading into tonight).

RECORD WHEN JARA SCORES

When Franco Jara scores, FC Dallas holds a 9-3-4 record in MLS regular season play and in all competitions FC Dallas holds a 10-4-4 record since his arrival for the 2020 season. His goal tonight ties Jáder Obrain’s goal vs. Toronto FC in the inaugural match of the 2022 season for the fastest goal in the season.
