Paulo Dybala move to Roma has reportedly been completed with the former Juventus forward having accepted a three-year deal with the club.

The Italian capital-based club were in a three-way tussle with Napoli and Inter Milan to secure the 28-year-old’s services after he left Juventus as a free agent at the end of last month.

But Sky Sport Italia claim Roma have won the race and that the Argentina international will sign a deal until 2025 worth £5million (€6m) a year, including bonuses, at the Stadio Olimpico.

The report adds Dybala is currently flying to Portugal – where Roma are currently on pre-season – for his medical before joining up with boss Jose Mourinho and his new team-mates.

Corriere dello Sport revealed at the weekend that the Portuguese manager personally spoke with Dybala on the phone a week ago to convince him to join.

And it appears that conversation was crucial to Dybala as Mourinho explained Roma’s project to him, with the final signature now the only thing missing.

The former Spurs boss appeared to push director Tiago Pinto to make a decisive move – and within the next 24 hours, Pinto presented Roma’s offer to the player’s agents.

It seemed Dybala was set for a move to last season’s Serie A runners-up Inter Milan.
