The San Jose Earthquakes fell to Houston Dynamo FC 2-1 on Sunday at PayPal Park after defeating the LA Galaxy 3-2 on Wednesday at Dignity Health Sports Park. Since Alex Covelo took over as interim head coach on April 18, the Earthquakes are now 5-4-4, the 10th best record in MLS in that span.
The Earthquakes are now preparing for two matches this week, hosting Spain’s RC Celta de Vigo in an international friendly at PayPal Park on Wednesday, July 20, before facing the Portland Timbers in MLS play at Providence Park on Saturday, July 23.
Wednesday’s match is set for 7:30 p.m. PT and will be streamed live on ESPN+. Tickets can be purchased . Saturday’s game is slated for 7:30 p.m. PT and will be broadcast on NBC Sports Bay Area, KNBR 1050 and 1370 KZSF.
