LOUISVILLE, KY – New York Red Bulls II (1-14-3, 6 points) fell to Louisville City FC (12-3-3, 39 points) 6-0 on Saturday, July 9, at Lynn Family Stadium.

The home side opened the scoring in the 14th minute as Brian Ownby corralled a long pass, turned, and ripped a shot into the net. Louisville doubled their lead in the 23rd minute. After a ball was initially cleared by New York following a corner kick, Enoch Mushagalusa found Jorge González, who capitalized on his chance in the box.


Mushagalusa scored his first of the match in the 32nd minute on a header from a feed by Niall McCabe. He scored his second of the match in the 59th minute and completed a hat trick in the 64th minute, both on passes from Ownby.

In the 71st minute, Ray Serrano sent a pass from the far side of the field to Ownby, who made a run towards the near side of the net and scored his second of the match.

Giannis Nikopolidis recorded a career-high six saves in the contest.

Following the match, New York will return home to face Indy Eleven on Friday, July 15, at MSU Soccer Park. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET with coverage available on ESPN+.
