The transfer window is hotting up, with the pre-season action focusing clubs’ minds.

Manchester United have work to do under new boss Erik ten Hag, while Newcastle still have mountains of cash burning a hole in their owners’ pockets.

Chelsea, meanwhile, seem to be in the running for every player available without landing any.

They are favourites to sign Nathan Ake, however, one of nine players at evens or shorter to be on the move this summer.

Ousmane Dembele (Free agent to Chelsea) Evens

Currently a free agent after running down his Barcelona contract, Dembele can count a number of Premier League clubs among his admirers, including Liverpool, Newcastle and Manchester United.

Chelsea have long been the frontrunners, but news of Dembele potentially signing a much-reduced contract to remain at Camp Nou will have their supporters sweating.

Lucas Paqueta (Lyon to Newcastle) Evens

One suspects a player who can injure himself flying a kite might not be up to the rigours of the Premier League. Nevertheless, Newcastle appear willing to shell out £58million for the Lyon midfielder, who scored 11 goals and provided seven assists in 44 appearances last season.

His close friendship with Bruno Guimaraes may be a deciding factor in the Brazilian opting to move to Tyneside. However, the deal was 4/6 two weeks ago.
