Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Manchester City are ‘waiting to receive an official bid’ from their rivals Chelsea for defender Nathan Ake.
The Dutchman was an academy player at Chelsea and he only played 17 times for them across all competitions at senior level.
Ake signed for AFC Bournemouth permanently at the start of the 2017/18 campaign. He spent three seasons with them in the Premier League.

His form for the Cherries tempted Man City to sign him in 2020 for a fee in the region of £41m.
The centre-back has been a bit-part player for Man City over the past two seasons. He has only played 24 times in the Premier League.
Chelsea are keen to sign him and Raheem Sterling this summer. Romano is reporting (via Twitter) that the Blues have a ‘full agreement’ with Ake on personal terms.
Man City want £40-45m for Ake, but they are yet to receive an official bid for their defender. Romano adds that if he leaves, City ‘plan to replace him with a new centre-back’.
Meanwhile, according to reports, Chelsea are leading rivals in the race to sign Raphinha but only if Barcelona fail to make Leeds an acceptable offer.
The Brazilian wants to leave the Yorkshire club this summer with it becoming clear over the course of the summer so far that his heart his set on a move to Barcelona.
However, the Catalan giants are struggling to reach an agreement with Leeds over a transfer for Raphinha with Barca not the financial powerhouse they once were.
Arsenal and Chelsea have been the main two clubs to show concrete interest in Raphinha but they will have to wait to see if Barcelona can meet Leeds’ asking price.
The Evening Standard claims ‘a decision on Raphinha’s future is expected within 24 hours’ as Barcelona’s bid stalls and Chelsea ‘remain favourites’ for his signature.
The report adds: ‘Arsenal have not given up hope of luring Raphinha to the Emirates Stadium but Chelsea are frontrunners should Barcelona not come through.’
And Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch has praised the 25-year-old for his “good attitude” despite constant transfer speculation.
