Manchester United captain Harry Maguire has liked an Instagram post about teammate Cristiano Ronaldo being upset by a potential 25 per cent wage cut at the club.
Ronaldo has asked to leave the club this week as he wants to play for a team fighting for honours and in the Champions League.

The Portuguese international hasn’t returned to training and is said to be on ‘indefinite leave’ as his agent Jorge Mendes looks to find him a new club.
United are angered by the ‘awful’ timing of Ronaldo’s decision as they have no contingency in place with money set to be spent elsewhere in the transfer market.
And it appears Maguire is also not best pleased after the skipper liked a SportBible post featuring a picture of Ronaldo alongside a caption explaining that he is ‘reportedly upset with the 25% wage cut given to Manchester United players’ after their failure to qualify for next season’s Champions League’.
He has since unliked the post.

There were various reports of discord between Ronaldo and Maguire throughout last season, suggesting the England international would be happy to see the back of the striker.
Meanwhile, Gary Neville has told United to avoid allowing the situation to escalate into a full-blown saga which dominates the summer and takes “focus away” from Erik ten Hag’s job.
Neville wrote on Twitter: ‘The only important factor with the Ronaldo situation is that it’s dealt with decisively and quickly. This can’t be a saga that takes the focus away from ETH [Ten Hag] bedding in period for the next two months.’
Speaking to The Overlap in June, Neville stated his concerns that United may have to sign three players if Ronaldo left the club this summer.
Neville said: “I think Cristiano is staying, but I think the problem started at the start of the season. Cavani pleaded to stay and lead the attack for another year, but when the club signed Ronaldo it completely put his nose out of joint. Cavani was completely shot then. He was finished.
