Raphinha looks set for dream move as Barcelona ‘reach agreement’ with Leeds

La Liga club Barcelona have reportedly ‘reached an agreement in principle’ with Leeds United for their winger Raphinha.

Arsenal and Chelsea are both interested in signing the Brazilian international. The Blues have already had a bid accepted, while the Gunners have had two offers turned down.

The 25-year-old’s first choice was always Barcelona, however, they have struggled to raise enough funds to match Chelsea’s £60m bid.

Spanish outlet Sport insisted that Barca are still leading the race to sign Raphinha despite the stage Chelsea are at in a deal to sign the player.

The Leeds man reportedly told his agent to stop negotiations with the Blues in order to force a move to the Nou Camp.

Earlier this week, the Catalan club announced a £229m investment from Sixth Street in exchange for 10 per cent of their La Liga TV rights for the next 25 years, meaning they could get their transfer business underway.

According to Gerard Romero, Barca have reached an agreement with Leeds over a £60m move. The transfer will be paid in three instalments.

The player has agreed a €6m salary and apparently ‘turned down’ an approach from Newcastle that was submitted on Thursday night.

A transfer to Catalonia is reportedly Raphinha’s dream move and the club have done everything they can to strike a deal.

Elsewhere, Neil Warnock has said that Chelsea and Manchester United will be better off without Romelu Lukaku and Paul Pogba next season.

Lukaku has re-joined Inter Milan on loan, meanwhile, Pogba is set to re-join Juventus on a free transfer following the expiry of his United contract.

“Good riddance, that’s what I say,” Warnock said on talkSPORT.

“I think both of them are all about ‘me, me, me’ and not the team or the club. They’re the type who score a goal, kiss the badge and then they’ve transferred next week.

“I don’t miss people like that. I didn’t think he [Pogba] did anything at Man United and I don’t think he’s [Lukaku] done anything at Chelsea.
