COLLEGE PARK, MD — The Meghan Ryan Nemzer era in Maryland women’s soccer officially gets underway this August as the Terps have unveiled their entire 2022 schedule. The team has been releasing each game via social media during the month of June and you can check out the posts below.
Nemzer will coach her first game as Terps’ head coach on Thursday, August 18 at Temple with a 7 p.m. kickoff in Philadelphia. Maryland continues with two more road games at Navy (Aug. 25) and at Pennsylvania (Aug. 28).
The home opener, which begins a span of six home games in a row, will take place on Thursday, Sept. 1 as Georgetown comes to Ludwig Field. The Terps continue with non-conference home games against George Mason (Sept. 4), Wake Forest (Sept. 8) and Saint Joseph’s (Sept. 11). The game against the Hawks will be Alumni Day.
Maryland opens Big Ten action with a pair of home games against Michigan (Sept. 16) and Illinois (Sept. 22). The Terps head to the road for two games at Rutgers (Sept. 25) and at Wisconson (Sept. 29). The game at Rutgers will mark the return of Nemzer against her alma mater and school she spent the last 14 years at as a member of the coaching staff, winning the Big Ten Championship this past season.
The Terps return home to host Michigan State (Oct. 2) and Penn State (Oct. 9). They then play at Ohio State (Oct. 13) before the home finale on Oct. 16 vs. Minnesota. Maryland closes the season with two road matches at Indiana (Oct. 20) and at Purdue (Oct. 23).
