June 29, 2022 – United Soccer League Championship (USL) – New York Red Bulls II News Release
Red Bulls Academy midfielder Nathan Worth had one of the most historic debuts in club history when he took the field against El Paso Locomotive FC on June 25.
At just 15 years and 120 days old, he became the youngest player to appear in a match this season across USL Championship.
He is the second-youngest player to appear in a match in Red Bulls II history, trailing only Serge Ngoma, who was 15 years and 77 days old when he debuted on September 23, 2020, against Atlanta United 2.
Worth is the youngest player in club history to start a match and became the second Red Bulls II player to start in their professional debut this season (Ezra Widman, March 16 at Atlanta United 2).
Both Worth and Widman played 45 minutes in their professional debuts, which is the most since Sam Joseph’s 90 in his debut on August 10, 2021, against the Charlotte Independence.
