Everton could face competition for Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks as Crystal Palace join the race, according to reports.

The 26-year-old will reportedly be allowed to leave Spurs this summer after falling down the pecking order under Antonio Conte

Winks made 19 Premier League appearances for Tottenham last season, starting just nine of them and his chances are set to be limited further following the arrival of Yves Bissouma.

As a result he is expected to leave north London as he no longer factors into Conte’s plans, despite having two years left on his deal.

Everton, Southampton and LaLiga side Sevilla were all said to be interested and Spurs will reportedly listen to offers of around £20million.

However, Crystal Palace have joined the race for the Englishman, according to The Sun.

The Eagles will be looking to bring in a new midfielder this summer after star player Conor Gallagher returned to Chelsea at the end of his loan spell.

Meanwhile, the Toffees have made contact with Spurs over a deal for Winks, having made him a priority, according to Football Insider

Frank Lampard will also be on the hunt for a midfielder this summer, having lost Fabian Delph at the end of his contract and Donny van de Beek returning to Old Trafford at the end of his loan spell.

However, Patrick Vieira’s side could be handed a boost in the pursuit of Winks as Everton’s budget restrictions means they may want to take him on an initial loan.
