Central Valley Fuego FC Announces First-Ever Academy Singings

FRESNO, Calif. – Central Valley Fuego FC today announced the club’s first three academy contract signings for the 2022 season. Midfielder Alan Gutierrez, Diego Diaz and goalkeeper Elmer Carballo join the club and will train with both the League One and League Two sides.


Alan Gutierrez, born in Fresno, Calif., will be graduating from Central East High School. The 18-year-old will attend Fresno City College in the Fall with plans to transfer to a four-year university. Gutierrez is a product of the Sacramento Republic FC youth system.

Elmer Carballo, also a Fresno native will be graduating from Buchanan High School. The 17-year-old has plans to attend college in the Fall. Carballo competed with Valley FC in NPSL (2021).

David Diaz, originally from San Fernando Valley, attended Birmingham High School. The 18-year-old has committed to California State University, Northridge in the Fall.
