COLLEGE PARK, MD — Kam Fisher, who started 36 career games at Texas-El Paso and led the team in assists in each of the last two seasons, has joined the Maryland women’s soccer program. A native of Chandler, Arizona, Fisher will attend graduate school at Maryland while playing for head coach Meghan Ryan Nemzer.

As a senior at UTEP (2021)
- Appeared in 15 games with 12 starts.
- Led the team with three assists.
- Tallied assists vs. Nevada, New Mexico State and Louisiana Tech.
- Connected on 73 percent of her passes.
- Averaged five free balls per game.
As a junior at UTEP (2020)
- One of four players to start all 11 matches on the year.
- Led the team in assists (three) and tied for fourth in points (three).
- Also was fifth on the team in shots (six).
- Connected on 70 percent of her passes, making 33 per game.
- Had three assists in the first five games of the year.
- Logged 65 minutes per match.
As a sophomore at UTEP (2019)
- Played in 19 contests, including earning nine starts.
- One-timed home a shot for her first career goal in the 79th minute in the 2-1 victory against Texas State (9/6).
- It also served as the first game-winning goal of her career.
- Started the final four matches of the season.
- Logged a career-high 86 minutes of playing time in the 1-0 victory against UTSA (11/1).
As a freshman at UTEP (2018)
- Appeared in 11 games for the Miners, including four starts.
- Made her debut in the season opener against Lubbock Christian (8/17), helping the Miners to a 6-1 victory.
- Logged 397 minutes over the course of the season.
- Made an immediate impact against I-10 rivals NM State (9/23), playing five minutes and recording her first career assist.
