Liverpool do not expect any issues as they look to wrap up the signing of Aberdeen teenager Calvin Ramsay.

And the Reds are confident of securing Ramsay’s signature for a cut-price £4million fee ahead of a potential summer move to Anfield.

Ramsay is keen on making the move and a fee of £4million should get things done.

There could be further movement on a deal before the end of the week.

The 18-year-old won the Scottish Football Writers Association’s Young Player of the Year in April.

Ramsay has also been capped three times by his country’s Under-21 side.

It is believed Ramsay would act as a backup to first-team star Trent Alexander-Arnold.

However, the signing would also call into question the future of fellow full-back Neco Williams, 21, who spent the end of last season on loan at promoted Fulham.
