Wojciech Szczesny would be “delighted” to see Man Utd flop Paul Pogba join Juventus this summer as he is still “one of the best in the world”.

The Red Devils announced on Wednesday that Pogba will be leaving the club at the end of the month when his contract at Old Trafford expires.

Pogba has been heavily criticised at times during his six seasons at Man Utd after joining from Juventus in 2016 for a world record fee at the time of £89m.

Despite that, the France international has been linked with some Premier League clubs but the main speculations persists around a move to Juventus, Real Madrid or Paris Saint-Germain.

A move to the Serie A side seems the most likely from reports in recent months and Szczesny wants to see the Old Lady complete a move for the 29-year-old.

Szczesny told The Sun: “I’d be delighted to see that happen. He did brilliantly in his previous time at Juventus so he would be a great addition to the squad.

“He is a player with good calibre and experience and he has good memories from Turin.”

When asked whether Pogba is still a top player, Szczesny replied: “Oh yeah. Absolutely.

“Maybe over the last couple of years the consistency of his game and the injuries didn’t help at United. But when he is fit, he is still one of the best in the world.”

Aaron Ramsey spent the second half of the season on loan at Scottish Premiership side Rangers last term and his future at Juventus is still up in the air with 12 months left on his contract.

But Szczesny thinks a combination of Ramsey and Pogba in the Juventus midfield could be a good thing for the Serie A giants.
