Newcastle are looking to take advantage of Everton’s financial situation by making a bid to sign striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, according to reports.
The Toffees will likely have to sell to buy this summer due to Financial Fair Play rules and Calvert-Lewin is one of their most valuable assets.

A series of poor investments in recent years and heavy losses due to the Covid-19 pandemic have led Everton to this position and after narrowly avoiding relegation this season, they will need to invest this summer.
Calvert-Lewin, who will have hopes of returning to the England squad ahead of the World Cup at the end of the year, has been heavily linked with Arsenal in recent months.
However, according to the Daily Mirror, Newcastle are now looking to take advantage of the situation by making a bid for the 25-year-old.

Former Sheffield United man Calvert Lewin himself struggled with injury this season, only featuring 17 times in the Premier League this season, scoring five goals.
However, he does have a proven track record with 13 and 16 goal seasons in the previous two years respectively, and he could soon find himself at St James’ Park.
