What they need this summer, and how likely they are to get it…

Antonio Conte has offered Spurs the motivation and ENIC have given them the means to enjoy a huge summer transfer window, with at least half a dozen signings and a romantic return…

 

What should be their priority this summer? 
A right wing-back. And a left-sided one too…

Antonio Conte inspired an incredible improvement from Matt Doherty through the second half of the season after spending most of January trying to tempt Adama Traore to north London to commence his conversion to wing-back. But Spurs are still crying out for a top-class option on the right flank.

It’s a similar story on the left. Sergio Reguilon has blown hot and cold under Conte. Ryan Sessegnon enjoyed a decent run of form towards the end of the season but Conte has had to mend and make do in his wide positions. That sh*t won’t fly into next season.

 

What else do they need?
If you ask Conte, he’ll tell you Tottenham need half a new team.

As well as wing-backs, Spurs will look to sign another centre-back to play on the left side of a three. With Chelsea and Manchester United also looking for central defenders, competition will be fierce, with at least half of the top six looking to the continent for starting stoppers.

Conte wants another central midfielder to provide competition for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Rodrigo Bentancur, and the addition of another forward able to come off the flank is also on Fabio Paratici’s to-do list.

Spurs need another goalkeeper to provide capable back-up for Hugo Lloris. It seems they’ve already sorted that since Fraser Forster was at Spurs Lodge yesterday dropping his trousers and coughing for Spurs’ doctors.

 

Spurs should grab the opportunity of a Conte-led rebuild with both hands

 

This would be a bonus…
A homecoming for Christian Eriksen.
