Michigan Adds Tori Christ as Assistant Coach

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — University of Michigan women’s soccer head coach Jennifer Klein announced the appointment of assistant coach Tori Christ, the program announced Tuesday (May 24). Christ joins the Wolverine program following a three-year stint at Boston University.
“I am very excited about the addition of Tori to the coaching staff and well as our program,” said Klein. “Tori is not only bringing a level of expertise to her role, but she is also bringing the energy, enthusiasm, work ethic and drive which will make her a big impact. During the hiring process she displayed the passion that she has for our sport, coaching goalkeepers and building great connections with recruits and student-athletes to help them achieve their best both in the classroom and on the field of completion.”
Christ joined the Terrier program in March 2019. Prior to that, she spent six seasons at her alma mater, Cornell — four as a student-athlete and two as goalkeepers coach. She also was recently named to the United Soccer Coaches 30 Under 30 Program for the 2021-22 class, which highlights coaches who are leading the way in developing soccer players and enhancing the game.
At Boston, under Christ’s tutelage, Meghan Kennedy earned All-Ivy League honorable mention status for the second straight season after leading the league with 94 saves. It also marked the second straight season she topped the conference leaderboard in saves.
Prior to entering the coaching ranks, Christ played professionally for three seasons — first with the Boston Breakers reserve team in 2014. She went overseas the next two years, aiding Västerås BK30 in Sweden to win the Widerlöv Cup in 2015 before playing one final season with…
